THE HENDRIX HOUSE

Not only was this project a treat because the owners are lovely, cool people with great vibes and collections of art, vintage and vinyl - but this house REALLY has a special connection to rock and roll.

As a heritage beauty in Strathcona, this house was also owned by Nora Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix’s Grandmother. I feel so lucky to have contributed to this space, which pays tribute to its special past and could not have more suitable owners to keep the rock and roll vibes and history alive.

Initially, Nicole reached out for some help on hanging and display for their artwork collections throughout the home. As we played more and more with the space, I created some concepts to add a little more continuity, custom storage with the vinyl cabinet (Ikea hack!) and design details, to get the large open spaces feeling a bit more cozy and cohesive.
